Telmo Churrosdirector of the short film 2013 Useless Reiis developing his first feature film, titled India. The project, produced by O Som ea Fúria, is currently in post-production.

The screenplay, written by Telmo Churro and Marianne Ricardotells the story of Tiago (Pedro Ines), a tour guide who is going through a heartbreak. The protagonist lives with his father, Raul (Jose Manuel Mendes), and his son, Manuel (Joao Carvalho). Raul is a nostalgic old sailor haunted by historical defeats, while Miguel is a teenager who, in his own bubble, dreams of a solitary erotic voyage into the cosmos. Tiago, as a tour guide, drives Karen (Denise Fraga) on a journey through a Lisbon of strange suicidal heroes. Karen, a melancholic and grieving Brazilian tourist, has a mailbox as her confidante where she leaves letters to her late husband about stories of a past happy life. Raul joins Tiago and Karen, embarking on a journey through dreams, lost glories and disasters, in search of a long-lost hero on an island in the South Atlantic. The cast includes Pedro Inês, Denise Fraga, José Manuel Mendes, João Carvalho, Lidia Franco, Maria Joao Pinho, Therese Madruga and Maria Emilia Correia.

Shot on 16mm in Lisbon, and produced by Luis Urbano and Sandro Aguilarthe movie had Mario Castanheira as director of photography, Pedro Filipe Marques as editor and Mafalda Alexis is responsible for color grading. Sound direction and mixing were done by miguel martins. India received Best Film at the Catapulta Cine – Primer Corte Awards ($5,000) at FICUNAM. The film benefits from the financial support of the ICA, with the participation of RTP and the support of the Municipality of Lisbon/Lisboa Film Commission. Currently in post-production, India is set to premiere in domestic theaters in 2022.
