The primary responsibility of the Post-Production Manager is to oversee and manage
post-process, guiding projects from go-ahead to delivery and packaging. Specifically, facilitating the smooth transition of projects from producers to editors, legal, QC and the appropriate platform teams, with a keen eye to stay on schedule and on budget. Video content can range from scripted to unscripted, single segments, sizzling videos and short content/series to longer episodes.
Develop and execute post-programs/workflows and technical guidelines for each project and ensure these processes are clearly communicated to the entire team
· Coordinate delivery, revisions and approvals. Distribute internal and external cuts to all necessary parts
Organize video storage and content sharing solutions
Control existing workflows and document updates to all asset sets and deliverables to ensure all technical requirements are met
Determine post-production hardware and software needs for current and upcoming projects
Liaise with production, design and publishing teams before and during shoots to ensure successful transfer of media from production to publication
Oversee the onboarding process of external vendors, editors and assistant editors to the team, ensuring new hires have all the tools and information they need to be successful
· Advise and develop post-production budgets based on deliverables, show creative and timelines, while tracking expenses ensuring post-production projects are on budget
Represent and speak on behalf of Post at project-specific external and internal meetings, accurately communicating position requirements for current and future projects
Maintain effective communication with partners regarding delivery, feedback and request for new materials
· Occasionally produce and edit content as needed
Knowledge of video/audio codecs, closed captioning services, broadcast frame rates/codecs, DSLRs and 4K workflows
Knowledge of audio mixing, sound design and color correction
Knowledge of the ever-changing landscape of camera technology and production equipment
Minimum 1-2 years post-production experience
· Proficiency in file transfer protocols, DAM and network storage.
· Experience with a variety of digital media workflows, including multilingual assets, content delivery and metadata.
· Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Frame.io workflows.
· Proficiency in current graphics/compositing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.
· Experience in collecting and negotiating vendor offers and post-production budgeting
Must be self-sufficient to complete projects from start to finish
· Ability to maintain a level head under pressure and work quickly, accurately and confidently in a fast-paced environment
· Demonstrated ability to interact with management staff in an effective and professional manner, as well as talent
· Team player who thrives in a fast-paced team environment
