Award-winning director and playwright Christian lollike is ready to make his first foray into cinema. His debut, a satirical comedy titled The Cake Dynasty, recently finished filming and went into post-production. It’s an adaptation of the 2013 Reumert Prize-winning play by the Danish director, and the story centers on a cake factory on the verge of bankruptcy.

The owner of the factory, a man named Niels Agger, attempts to kill himself. After the attempt failed, he ended up suffering from severe depression. His wife, Else, tries to save the factory by asking for help from her daughter and son-in-law, June and Jonny. They both went to business school and come up with a vast modernization plan, focused on producing healthy cakes. Niels cannot cope with these new ideas and falls in love with the new factory housekeeper, Zeinab.
