Ashoke Pandit Calls for Resumption of Film and Television Post-Production, Cites IPL Example | Hindi Movie News – Bollywood


The second wave of the deadly COVID-19 virus is gripping the country and there is a drastic increase in coronavirus cases. Many states have resorted to partial or full lockdowns to curb the spread of the deadly virus, with permission granted primarily for essential services. As all work related to the film industry has been blocked due to current restrictions in Maharashtra, now filmmaker and president of the Association of Indian Film and Television Directors (IFDDA), Ashoke Pandit called for the post- production be permitted in accordance with COVID- appropriate rules. Pandit took to Twitter to highlight the stipends for the Indian Premier League cricket tournament and the construction industry. He asked that if these industries could be allowed to operate, then film post-production should also be allowed. He said post-production could easily be conducted behind closed doors, with a minimum number of people, following all COVID-19 guidelines. His tweet read: “When can IPL matches be played? … When can the construction industry operate? … So why not allow film and television industry post-production work to take place behind closed doors and with a minimum of people following the appropriate SOPs? …. It will be a great relief. … @ mybmc …. please consider ‘. Meanwhile, the current lockdown-like restrictions in Maharashtra are expected to continue until May 15. Amid the crisis in the country, many Bollywood actors have generously stepped forward to lend their support to the people. Considering the current situation, Power couple Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna donated 100 oxygen concentrators. Speaking to Instagram, Twinkle shared the update and wrote: “Wonderful news – Dr Drashnika Patel and Dr Govind Bankani from London Elite Health via the Daivik Foundation are donating 120 oxygen concentrators and @akshaykumar and I managed to get my hands on 100 as well, we have a total of 220. Thanks for the leads. Let’s all do our part. Akshay also recently donated 1 crore of Rupees to the foundation of the former cricketer who became politician Gautam Gambhir to help buy food, medicine and oxygen for the needy.
